How about an online garage sale with a difference? This one is just for scientists. This customer exchange site puts individual sellers and buyers together in a forum where they can negotiate their own deals. They make it relatively easy for both sellers and buyers to use credit cards for purchases as well as offering Seller Ratings and an Escrow Account service. So, if you're after some lab stools, or maybe a fetching pair of nitrile gloves, get on down to the garage sale.
We have already highlighted the opening of the Unilever center in Cambridge but their site is worth a look, providing as it does a detailed insight into the world of informatics and several talks from the likes of the University' Jeremy Sanders and Director of the center Robert Glen.
Brainpop is a smashing site. It's aimed at those still doing their homework but is so full of snappy science and technology movies and graphics that any one with even just a passing interesting will find it worth a visit. You might even learn something.
